EPIC Family Chiropractic is a family wellness chiropractic office. Dr. Mark has been practicing in the high country since 2016. He specializes in 7 different techniques. This way your chiropractic care can be individualized and adapted specifically for you!

While we are great at helping our patients get out of pain, there is so much more that chiropractic can do for you! At EPIC Family Chiropractic, it is all about total health and well-being. We do this by keeping your spine moving like it is supposed to so that your spinal cord and central nervous system functions at its best. After all, your central nervous system controls EVERYTHING IN YOUR BODY!

Mark Torrie D.C.

Dr. Mark was born and raised in small-town Oklahoma. He loves the outdoors and playing guitar. He, his wife and their three young children like to swim, hike and stay active. As an employee of the Department of Defense, Dr. Mark felt that something was missing in his life. He was looking for something more when he encountered chiropractic.

I feel so fortunate to be a part of EPIC Family Chiropractic! Sharing the benefits of Chiropractic Care with our community is one of my favorite things. Dr. Mark and I continually strive to make health one of the top priorities in our family. I feel very passionate about it and love being able to help others do the same.

Ever since going to a chiropractor when I was pregnant with our first child, I have seen the benefits of chiropractic care first hand and wanted to make it a regular part of care for our family and share it with others. When I am not in the office I am running around with our three kids. After moving to Boone to be closer to family, we have loved being able to hike, camp, and be outside exploring!

Neuropathy Care Coordinator

Marlena McCrimmon

Born and raised in Northern California, Marlena made her way to North Carolina in 2014. Early on in life, Marlena had a passion for helping others. Her first career was in mortgage and finance where she spent over a decade assisting families with home ownership.

In early 2000 she reevaluated her career path and remembering that helping others was important to her, she chose to go back to school and focus on a healthcare career.

Over the last 20+ years, as a certified surgical technologist working in trauma, transplant and orthopedics, she dedicated herself to assisting her patients and giving them the best possible treatment and care available.

As the Neuropathy Care Coordinator for the Epic Family Chiropractic team, Marlena is dedicated to ensuring the best possible treatment and care for all Epic Family patients.

In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, visits with friends and family and the great outdoors.

Julia Boone

Julia has lived in Boone since 1991 minus taking 5 years to live in Idaho, Colorado, and Montana after college. She has worked in various capacities for the High Country Council of Governments, The American Camp Association, and Appalachian State University.
